Held every October, PHAW is designed to raise awareness and promote action to end poverty and homelessness in the Yukon. Started in 2005, PHAW has grown to include activities sponsored by a wide cross section of organizations, individuals, businesses, churches, schools and local media. PHAW 2024 is set for October 21- 25.

Yukon Food Security Network

The Yukon Food Security Network is a collaboration of local food champions dedicated to ending food insecurity by helping to build resilient and equitable food systems across the territory. They come together to share learnings, coordinate efforts and support one another, increasing their overall collective impact. The Network's work is rooted in community building and respect for diversity. They honour this by creating a safe space for discussion and supporting community groups as they address their own unique food needs. The Network believes that everyone has a right to healthy and culturally appropriate food.
